Italy!!! What can you say that hasn’t already been said about Italy? The romance, the food, the countryside, the cathedrals. It is arguably one of the most romantic countries that you can visit. And if you can get married there… well that is really something special indeed. It will be a memorable wedding that you will talk of for many years. Where to go tho? Well that is quite the question now isn’t it?  There are many Italian venues that you can choose to exchange your vows in. Italy is filled with quaint villages and medieval towns where getting married in Italy is a dream! Italy is a country with a rich and unique history. Italy has probably the most incredible architectonic heritage. Throughout the ancient buildings, to Middle Ages churches, Baroque and Renaissance palaces, Romantic castles, Italy is the perfect place for destination wedding. And what is more spectacular and elegant than a castle wedding?

I have put together a list of my top five wedding venues in Italy, starting with the last one first and then moving up to number 1. I have also elaborated a little on the top 5 castles to get married in as well.

#5 – Lake Garda: Possibly the most popular of lake wedding venues in Italy is Lake Garda. Lake Garda is the largest, bluest and most visually dramatic of all the northern Italian Lakes. There are many, many Italian wedding venues to choose from. You can choose one of many venues in Gardone Riviera, Salo’ or Malcesine.

#4 – A Castle Wedding: Little could be more like a fairy tale than getting married in an actual castle. Castles have become common venues for weddings in Italy.
